The Hierarchy

इन्द्रियाणि पराण्याहुः इन्द्रियेभ्यः परं मनः।
मनस्तु परा बुद्धिः यो बेद्धुः पर्तस्तु सः॥

 

indriyāṇi parāṇyāhuḥ indriyebhyaḥ paraṁ manaḥ |
manastu parā buddhiḥ yo beddhuḥ partastu saḥ ||

 

The sages say that the senses are great; greater than senses is mind; greater than mind is reason ; but what is greater than reason, is HE (The supreme) .

 

Purport: God is mightier than and superior to reason so try to understand him and let him rule the reason and Ego and thus control the selfish desire.

I want to learn these:

The Matter and the spirit.

The Field and the knower of the field.

Knowledge and that which ought to be known.

 

This is dealt with in the last six chapters starting with the Thirteenth.
